Thomas Ø. Poulsen is an experienced visual storyteller with over 25 years in the animation and games industry. His career spans a wide range of roles, beginning as a 2D/3D animator and storyboard artist, and later expanding into art direction, concept design and production design on high-profile projects.
After graduating from The Animation Workshop in 1996, Thomas began working on games, animation and interactive content for both Danish and international IPs, including Skærmtrolden Hugo, Jungledyret Hugo, SpongeBob, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Ben 10. He later served as Lead Layout Artist on the 3D animated feature The Great Bear, and spent nearly a decade as Design Supervisor at Wil Film ApS, where he helped define the visual style of several TV series for major brands like LEGO® and Playmobil®.
His more recent work includes roles as Art Director and Environment Designer on several game and TV productions, including Airhead, WordTag and the Danish animated series Flora and Lars. He has also been involved as Art Director and Production Designer on two upcoming 3D animated feature films.
Thomas is known for his versatile visual development skills, strong sense of composition and ability to lead creative teams across styles and formats, from stylized 2D to full 3D production.
